It’s easy to sign up for a free, run-of-the-mill training app on Facebook. I mean, who wouldn’t when it promises amazing results with little effort or dieting? All you need to do is fill in your weight and measurements and, like magic, you have an instant “personalised” plan, tailored to your unique circumstances.
A few weeks in and I guarantee your motivation will start to slip. You’ll get bored of the same exercises and the same tasteless recipes. When there’s no one but an avatar with the personality of a plant guiding you, it becomes hard to stick to it. Soon, it’s just another app taking up space on your phone.

What makes my app different?
It’s a community of moms, dads, fitness buffs, people recovering from injuries, athletes, newbies, teenagers, seniors… people just like you.
My training programmes really are tailored to your personal abilities, goals and whatever is going on in your life right now. Even if you’re taking part in the group challenges, the individual exercises are still tailored to you.
I switch up your program every week so that you never get bored or stuck in a rut. You’ll always be challenges and encouraged to step outside of your comfort zone because that’s where amazing things happen!
Plus, you’ll get access to yummy, filling recipes that don’t leave you feeling deprived or starving. I test out all the recipes myself and even use my group classes as guinea pigs!
I analyse where you are right now and where you want to be. Then we work together to make those goals happen – at your own pace and in the comfort of your own home.
Whatever your reason for downloading a fitness app, whether you find it hard to make time to go to the gym, you’re not confident or comfortable stepping into a gym, or you can’t afford a personal trainer, there has to be a compelling reason for you to stick with it. Otherwise it’s just going to become another story about unsuccessful weight loss attempts because you had no one to guide you along the way and to keep you motivated when you really didn’t want to get out of bed.
My goal with this app was not to create just another workout app but something personal and special. A place where everyone is welcome and can feed off each other’s energy and motivation to live their best lives.
With my app, I can give you personal, focused attention, even if you’re working out at home. You don’t only have access to me but to my wonderful fitness family who will be more than happy to complain about the workouts and stiff muscles!

1. You can join the group class where I add a new 30-minutes exercise sequence every Monday. You’ll do this sequence on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We do cardio on Tuesdays and Thursdays (I don’t mind what you do as long as you move. And yes, cleaning the house counts!) And Saturdays, we stretch. Then you get one whole day off from me!
You can reach me any time via the app if you’re struggling and I can modify your workouts. You can also track your workouts and your progress! All this for just R250 or $18 a month!
2. Need more personalised attention? I can do that too with in-app personalised training! With this option, I write a training and eating programme just for you, based on your own availability and ability. For R750, you get a personal touch plus two 30-minute Skype calls a month where we can touch base and talk about anything you want.
