The world is sick….

‘The world is sick!’

I can’t think of a more appropriate answer to the question of what is happening right now.

It’s fear which hits you like a tsunami.

A wave of overpowering thoughts.

I am wondering if negativity breeds fear or if fear breeds negativity.

I came to the conclusion that it’s probably a combination of both but, it really doesn’t matter because both fear and negativity are like a virus eating itself into our core, our inner being.

It eats silently away at our core and plants little seeds of doubt and anxiety.

Does that sound familiar to you?

I for one need to have strict boundaries about what I let into my core.

I am very much a person of routine and like things planned out, preferably years in advance, because that makes me feel in control and safe.

But that is not life how life works, right?

Life has a core which we can influence and to certain point control, but then there is the chaos all around us.

There is always a certain level of chaos which we need to balance, not only since covid-19, but now, for the first time ever, we all have the same kind chaos and the same kind fears.

The detail is different but it is affecting all of us in one way or the other.

We can’t say anymore ‘but this only happens to others’  because now we are all part of it!

So if we are all part of it, why do we find it necessary to spread fake news and spread negativity?

Our Mind and therefore our Mental health is our core, our non-negotiable wellbeing depends on that.

Pretend your mind is your castle with huge castle gates; you and only you decide who to let in.

This is how it works for me!

I can be a very type A personality, a realist, but I have learned what is good for me and what is not. My goal is to help others, but sometimes I need to shut my castle gates and look after myself first, be a better me, so I can help ‘make the world a better place’.

I have to follow my Mindset routine which enables me to create a productive atmosphere. I have to look after myself so I can be better for those around me.

No, I am to following the ‘ostrich-routine’, but I am trying to keep my brain out of anxiety mode.

For instance, I were to listen to the news at 4.30 in the morning, instead of my usual routine, I wouldn’t get into the right mindset and this will set the tone for my thinking and behaviour for the rest of the day.

So instead, I listen to the factual news, not Facebook, later in the day when my attitude and ability to cope are much stronger.

Let’s all help to heal the world in our own way one step at a time.

If you need my help in any way let’s have a chat. I can’t wait to help you!
